There are a number of shopping centers just outside the development which offer grocery stores, bakery & deli, gift shops, pharmacy, video, pizza parlor, hair salons, hardware stores, restaurants, title companies, bank, gas stations, dentist, doctors and medical centers.
Lake & Boating
Lake of the Pines is a man-made lake approx. 230 acres, with 5.5 miles of shoreline, and impounds 4,200 acre feet at 1507 feet elevation.  Water skiing (no jet skis allowed), sailing, swimming and fishing.
Dam
200,000 cubic yards of earth, 600 feet long and 57 feet high. Approx depth of water near the dam is 55 feet. The lake is naturally fed by Magnolia Creek and there water is obtained from Combie Lake and Nevada Irngation District.
